This was the longest run I've ever done. At first I was going to just head on my usual route through Victoria Park and down the the canal to the Thames Path, but once I was there I figured I'd just keep going, and as long as I headed for a town where I knew there would be a train station, what could go wrong?
So, I kept going on the Thames Path, ran through the Isle Of Dogs, had a 28 Days Later moment running through the Greenwich foot tunnel, and arrived knackered (I forgot about the steps) in lovely Greenwich. There's something you should know about Greenwich Park. It's on a massive hill. In fact, it's a gateway to the hilly-hell that is south-east London. No offence, some of my best friends live in south-east London, but I wasn't dying to have the extra challenge.
Anyway, I forged on through Lewisham, and timed things nicely to end up at Brockley Station at mile twenty. To discover the Overground was terminating at Shadwell.
Rail Replacement after running from Dalston to Brockley? FML.
