No formal session, but a pretty good workout to Nina Simone.
Rest
Finally, I'm in the taper! These last two weeks are officially tapering, so I'm dropping some cross-training and mixing up my days a little. This evening was a lovely sunset jog down to the canal and back.
Accidentally missed out on stretching yesterday, as I had yet another birthday meal to rush to. So today I added an hour of yoga to compensate.
Namaste.
Rest
Thanks to Mike for sponsoring today's session!
Mike chose to rule this run by dictating "no music". I took this to mean I couldn't cheat and listen to a podcast either, so I instead went with no 'phones at all for the whole run. (I still had 1 mile pace announcements on speaker from my phone.)
I decided to see how far I could go north on the canal, and it turns out quite far. The path finally left the canal at a park somewhere north of Leyton so I took this as a sign to turn back.
Alone with my thoughts, I did think of some fascinating things, but like dreams promptly forgot everything as soon as I stopped.
